One day more

I've heard these words many times in the last couple weeks, "One Day More". I'm currently in a production of Les Miserables and these words have been sticking like leeches to my ears. If you have guessed yet - no we have not heard anything about Little C. Every day is one day more. One day not together.

But there are days to celebrate, and I would take many more like these....

A little boy and his blue bunny

Last day of school.
He told me the rhyme to put on the paper. :)

Soccer nights. Looks like his first time flirting even... Lol!

Kicking one of his first goals!
Over the other teams goal line...
But so proud of his accomplishment.

First Mohawk. First lost tooth (that fell out on its own).

My toothless wonder.

T-ball nights.
Kicking the dust.
Making sure it really is dust.

Getting his head in the game... But not looking at the hitter... Hmmm....

Batter up!

Vacation Bible School. Celebrating God's love with my child.

Learning new songs that are now sung around the kitchen, bedroom, shower, car...

Spending time with Jon and his new job.
We are so happy he loves his new job! And Caleb loves learning more about the tools his Dad will get to use!

Running side by side with my son during his first 5k!

Watching the pride he had crossing the finish line.

Seeing the friendships he has made with his preschool friends.

Summer parades.
Candy.
Sun.

One day more.
Maybe the days aren't what I had hopes for right now, but I can't complain.

Our days are filled with love and life.
I am truly thankful.

Even if I am becoming impatient...
;)

In Christ -

Second day in Manila

Family picture from yesterday at the park. Caleb has a flying butterfly. Our second day in Manila was fantastic! We got out of the city and saw a ton of the countryside, multiple areas outside of the city, and a beautiful "lake" that houses a volcano.  We've been starting our mornings with this view. Starting out on our journey today we saw some gigantic billboards. These two were selling Jollibee and the other was selling TUNA... tuna!?!? Our first trip to Jollbee! This is the Philippines favorite fast food restaurant, it is similar to our McDonald's. Their primary food though is chicken, much like KFC. Where do pineapples come from!?! Did you say a tree?? Then you, like myself and Jon, are wrong!!!! These are Pineapple Fields! Pineapples are grown from the ground! When this is ready to pick, the pineapple will be sitting straight up on top of the soil.  Road side stop to see the pineapple fields also allowed us to see t...

Siblings not by choice

Siblings.  Not by blood, not by choice, not by the perfect of circumstances. Siblings. Placed together by the hands of God. Placed together through love. May not get along through many circumstances, but love each other with a love most will never understand.

Four years.

Four years. Four years ago today, our second blessing jumped into our arms for the first time. Four years ago today, these two became brothers and best friends. Four years ago today, all our worlds changed. And yet, how can it have only been four years? Feels like he has been our son from day one. The Lord blessed us ten-fold the day we met you, my son, our Tope. My world is better with you in it.
